Above the clouds: Air-freight

If speed is of the essence, air cargo is the first choice for global transports. Speed, though, does not have to mean unaffordable, and this we want to prove to you, as your specialist and neutral handling partner, by organising the efficient air transportation of your goods. Pickups, deliveries, customs handling, etc. – all part of our portfolio as a matter of course.

Transport by water: Sea-freight

To cut costs, to save the environment and to make perfect use of shipping space, we advise and support you in the transport of your sea-freight world-wide. From organisation through transport to processing both imports and exports we are there to assist you. Door-to-door services, both at home and abroad, including settlement of all customs formalities, are part of our daily business. In the area of general cargo shipments we cooperate globally with well-known partners. Whether it is commercial goods, personal effects or shipment of motor vehicles, we guarantee time-saving and flexible transportation.

We offer you:

  • FCL shipments (full container load): your consignment within whole containers
  • LCL shipments (less than container load): your consignment as general cargo

Our carriers

For us a good and trustful collaboration with our carrier partner is essential. As both freight forwarder and terminal operator in the Port of Bonn, we put a high value on neutrality as regards our range of overseas-carriers. In order to give you our utmost world-wide support we work closely with an agency network.

Special equipment

There’s no such thing as “Not” ‒ of that you can be sure. We ensure proper import and export transportation of your non-containerized overheight and/or overwidth cargo. This includes special equipment, stuffing and stripping as well as obtaining exceptional and special permissions. As a “non-vessel-operating common carrier” (NVOCC), we offer you our overseas services, including all liability benefits. Our house bill of lading (HBL) can be used as a straight B/L, order B/L, through B/L or combined transport B/L.

By the way, for us “no risk, no fun” is not something we believe in. We rely on a safe, plannable transport. As a precaution, we recommend taking out suitable transport insurance, such as indemnity for natural hazards like fire, explosion, lightning strike and general average, beforehand.

Door-to-door

Starting ex works abroad, your consignment is in good hands: Am Zehnhoff-Söns receives the cargo and arranges a smooth transport flow up until delivery to the final consignee. In conjunction with our container stuffing and stripping facilities we can offer warehousing and cargo distribution – no matter what the consignment size.

We attach importance to a good and trustworthy cooperation with our partner carriers concerning the oversea section. Thanks to our network of worldwide acting agents and partners we are able to manage your requirements proficiently all over the world – fast, efficiently and resource-saving.

Of course, we also support you in the processing of all customs matters.

Customs consulting and handling

Am Zehnhoff-Söns supports and advises you in the processing of all customs matters, like:
  • Import, export, transit
  • AES / ECS / AIS
  • Customs clearance in the seaport/fiscal representation
  • E-customs clearance
Our specialists are very experienced and settle all customs requirements. As ATLAS system users, we have at our disposal an IT-supported system which guarantees a largely automated process for cross-border transport.
