Reference Project with Wirtgen

The new heavy-duty shuttle proves itself in real-world operations.
Following a successfully completed pilot project with the Wirtgen Group, large-scale road construction machines are now regularly transported for the company from Bonn to Bremerhaven – resource-efficiently and effectively.
Your benefits
High Planning Reliability & Regular Schedule
Our new Heavy Load Shuttle operates monthly, during the first week of each month. This fixed schedule provides maximum planning reliability and allows you to align your transport processes with precision and foresight – giving you greater dependability and security in project planning.
No Weight Limit & Small Partial Loads Possible
The inland vessels used are not limited in payload – only the handling equipment available on-site defines the technical limits. Smaller partial or additional loads can also be integrated without issue. This makes our shuttle not only flexible but also economically attractive – especially through the potential for shared shipments and corresponding cost sharing.
Significantly Lower CO₂ Emissions
By switching to waterway transport, you actively contribute to climate protection. Inland shipping reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 60% compared to road transport, depending on vessel utilization. Our shuttle is therefore a forward-looking solution for sustainable logistics.
Greater Transport Capacity on Water
Unlike conventional truck transport, inland vessels can carry multiple project cargoes simultaneously. This significantly eases road congestion and reduces the number of individual trips required. Over long distances, the need for escort vehicles is also minimized, as they are only required for short pre- and post-haulage.
Individual Loading Points for Maximum Flexibility
The route of our heavy-duty shuttle runs from Bonn to Bremerhaven via the Rhine and, for example, the Rhine–Herne Canal or the Wesel–Datteln Canal. All ports along this corridor, as well as nearby locations at both origin and destination, can be served individually. This allows seamless integration into your existing supply chains and pinpoint execution of your projects—exactly where you need it.
