From Trier to Antwerp - and back!
In cooperation with the Port of Antwerp and the Port of Trier the Am Zehnhoff-Söns Group hosted the 1st International Logistics Network at the port of Trier on 9 April. About 100 high-ranking representatives of economy, politics and logistics were happy to accept the invitation and attended the official release of the block train service between the port of Trier and the seaport of Antwerp, Belgium, as part of the event. The new rail connection functions as addition to barge transports and offers an interesting alternative to direct trucking.
Diverse programme at the Port of Trier
Beyond that, the guests were invited to attend a diverse supporting programme at the port. Following a speech given by state secretary Andy Becht from the Ministry of Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viniculture Rhineland-Palatinate they enjoyed a trip on the Moselle on board the “Princess Marie-Astrid” while listening to workshops on several issues concerning the Moselle region as economic location, the Port of Antwerp, intermodal services at Multimodal Terminal Trier and cargo securing on international freight transport.
